We believe STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning for preschool and kindergarten students is an important part of the curriculum and the learning process. We have limited funds available in our district for STEM activities and supplies. These games and materials will help the students with their cognitive learning and fine motor skills.
These products will help all areas of curriculum including math, reading, writing, problem solving, phonics, and social emotional skills. Students will learn more and retain things more by using multiple senses. These materials will help our students to build and explore their environment using their different senses.
Teachers will use the easel to model letter and other projects. The students will also get to use the easel to draw and write on. The STEM activity toys will be used on a regular basis during center time. For example, when a student has completed an assignment before the rest of the class, they will be able to use the STEM toys for a "fast finisher" independent activity until the next center.
