As a Title I teacher, I work with struggling learners who need a different approach to learning in order to meet their goals. I want to support all of my students as best I can by providing them different seating options when they come to work in their small groups.
We know that all kids learn differently and something as simple as a different type of chair can make all the difference. All of our learning happens around a table. I want to give my students voice and choice in what type of seating they are using during our time by providing different types of chairs: ball chairs, wobble stools, stationary stools, etc. They can select the type of seating that will best help them, as an individual, to focus and work hard. This project will help me to start to make this happen for my students.
