For my students, many traditional styles of teaching, such as sitting in desks for extended periods of time, do not support the needs of my students.
These materials will help me adapt my seating for the classroom of children that have autism spectrum disorder. Currently, I have 16 children in my classroom. For students that stem (or rock while sitting), desks can become dangerous. We have had multiple desks break while in use. Our students work very hard to remain seated and to stay focused on classroom assignments so that they can please me.
This project will help me adapt my seating for their needs!
