These magazine will offer opportunities for my students to dive into print-rich text that they might not get to otherwise. Time for Kids can lead to discussion and collaboration. After we are done using them in class, students can read them at home with their families and have meaningful discussion about the world around them. Reading this magazine weekly will allow students to make real-world connections and foster a love of reading. Being able to use their own copies in class will allow for close reading through small groups, centers and independent practice.
