These books will allow the class to participate in a novel study that teaches the impact that choices can make in our lives. The books and the lessons paired with them will allow the students to think critically about not only the choices made by characters in the story but also about the choices they make in their own lives. I chose this novel because many of the students I teach are the same age as characters in the novel. The students will also relate to some of the inner conflict the chapters of the novel face. My goal for this project is to help me students see that all choices need to be carefully considered because some consequences last a lifetime.
