My students need fun and engaging ways to learn. With the supplies I am requesting, they will be able to achieve so much! The colored pencils and crayons will help my students create beautiful pictures that capture emotions during social skills lessons. The iPad cases will let the students engage with technology without the teacher constantly chirping at them to be careful not to break it! Sentence frames will help with talking and reading in a hands-on and exciting way!
Sometimes we need extra motivators to get our work done and be on our best behavior. While I teach my students that this is okay, we also learn how to do well without them. I am excited to have prizes in my room for students to earn when they are showing positive behaviors during their day. The prizes will be separated and students can roll a dice to see which prize box they get to pick from. This will ensure there is always an element of mystery and anticipation to look forward to.
Taking breaks is a daily need in my students' life. Having activities that they can do that they think are fun! Playdoh is so fun for kids and can help strengthen the muscles in the hand so writing is easier! Legos are a go to favorite that has the kids doing STEM activities without even realizing it!
