Many students with intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, and students with autism need supports in place to help them to cope with their emotions. It is my goal to create a beautiful patio for students to access when they need a class break, an area to care for our garden (class plants), a space to get fresh air to eat lunches, and more. My students are in our classroom for most of the day and this will provide us with a separate work space to get fresh air while learning and interacting with one another. I look forward to all the activities we can do now that we have worked hard over days to clean up the current space to make it our own.
About my class
