I want to provide a classroom environment that will create lifelong learners with a love of reading and writing. Many of my students come from low socio-economic households and are unable to provide basic supplies such as pencils and glue. I have seen a child get embarrassed and cry for not having what they need and it just breaks my heart. My goal for my students is to not feel ashamed of who they are and/or their parents financial situations and enjoy the classroom as a happy place for learning. The supplies I requested will help build and sustain the positive environment they deserve.
