Statistics and Calculus use the graphing calculator extensively, but my students can't all afford graphing calculators. I'd like 10 for the classroom so my students can use them when we do activities, like graphing data and finding the curve of best fit, running statistical tests on data, finding the definite integral, randomly generating data, graphing everything we need to graph, and just doing calculations.
Since not everyone can afford calculators, at least if I have ten in the classroom, my students can still use them and see how they work even if they don't own their own. I can have students work in groups on projects that require calculator use so that they can all have the experience and be familiar with the calculators.
