Every day presents a new challenge for our students, we work extremely hard to overcome these challenges to better prepare our students for life after school.
Horse therapy is proven to help students with Autism and special needs. Riding a horse helps liven sensory preceptors, which helps make therapy exciting and motivates the autistic child to continue to be engaged. Equine therapy is highly beneficial to children with autism. It helps them develop natural, core skills they need to function in society.
I'm requesting donations for our trip to Special Strides a place where special needs students can experience grooming and riding horses. We also need monies for a nurse companion on the trip.
On this trip the students will interact, brush, and care for the horse to build a trust and bond between the student and the horse.
