My students with Cortical Visual Impairment respond best when materials are presented in a specific way. Dark rooms, high contrast, low visual clutter, and illumination are among those ways! These materials are expensive, hard to get, and not part of the regular school inventory - but necessary to enhance the education of these precious students.
This particular group of students are all in wheelchairs, and they require full assistance throughout their day. The visual input they receive is imperative to the quality of their school day.
I can't wait to present this group of awesome kids with materials they can visually fixate and focus on, materials that are accessible to them!
