Our third graders look forward to their recess time every day and they are keeping themselves active by playing soccer.
Most of our students come from a low-income household and school is the only place that they can practice playing a sport they enjoy. With this equipment, students will be able to make teams and teach other students how to play soccer. The interaction during their recess time is valuable because they are able to play with students that are not in their class. Even though their recess time is not required to be structured play, students choose to have structure by forming teams.
Unfortunately there are too many students with limited equipment it is difficult for everyone to have the opportunity to play. If students have more equipment both of the soccer fields can be utilized and they will be able to enjoy their recess time.
About my class
