Working three dimensionally is always most popular with my students. We mostly use recycled materials for our building center, but we would love to have an architecture center, where students can create buildings and worlds that they've studied or seen.
Students will be free to use their design and engineering skills, assessing, changing and fixing along the way. They can try new challenges and make changes without having to rip apart glued structures. The students' creations can also be used as models for paintings and drawings, or can be made kinetic with marble runs and moveable parts. Fun and learning in one!
