As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am a special education teacher and work to teach to the whole child, socially, emotionally, and academically. Despite the many challenges they face, everyday they come in eager and ready to learn!

Differentiation helps create mastery and success for all students!
In order to meet their individual needs, my students require tasks to be engaging, colorful, reliable, with access to technology in order to help them develop independence, mastery of IEP goals and common core standards. Tablets will increase the tasks students can do when not working directly with a teacher, as well as provide immediate data collection that is needed to assess students progress on their IEP goals and benchmarks. Lamination provides the opportunity for students to work on tasks that can become tactile, visual, and individualized for the students individual needs and targets.
