One way learning happens is when students find direct relevance between what they are learning and their own interests. As six years turning seven, the majority of my first graders have an interest in games! This list of materials is filled with age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned learning games. These games will be used during my small group station work, wherein, students are engaged in independent learning activities that are directly tied to the learning standards. With these materials, I will create opportunities for my students to engage in meaningful academic play that is both collaborative and cooperative. Thank you for support Room 16's goal of making learning relevant, meaningful and fun!
