To give students the opportunity to read updated books. Students love to read new books. There are many lessons to teach though reading. These books will help the students with comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and will help build their reading skills.
Reading also helps their grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. Writing does not always come easy to third graders. Having good examples to share with them will help them make a connection between the book and their own lives.
I work at a Title One school and the students deserve the opportunity to read a good book that is not falling apart.
