The furniture and materials that I am requesting for my students are resources that they will need to give them a space to get work done. Since they are in high school, I want to give them a safe and comfortable environment to come and ask questions, be themselves, and still learn at their own pace.
I want to provide them an opportunity to act and learn like young adults would in the community. If that is giving them a space to work independently (like a coffee shop setting), then this will be a successful working space for them to progress academically.
