The 2nd grade team and I will be teaching a unit comparing the fairy tales written with different points of view. We will be using these beautiful modern books to read out loud and for independent reading books in our classroom libraries. These books such as; "Believe Me I Never Felt a Pea" books are written with a modern twist on historical fairy tales that bring humor and engagement into the classroom. The kids love them! Building a culture of students who love to read is a priority. By adding modern books that meet the standards to our instruction, we will be increasing student engagement and excitement around reading.

About my class
