The class carpet that I would like for my classroom will be used many times throughout the day every single day. We begin every day on our carpet with a Social Emotional lesson where everyone gets the chance to speak and share their feelings. The next thing we do is Calendar Math where all of my students sit on the classroom carpet. Immediately following the students turn around on the carpet and listen to my Reading mini-lesson.
Our class carpet is extremely important to our every day learning. I also do read aloud, teach math, teach phonics, and many other things while my students sit on the carpet. One of my students’ favorite things to do is play with toys when there is an inside recess day.
Please help me get a beautiful new carpet for my classroom. I know that my carpet is at least eight years old, because that is when I began teaching kindergarten. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
