My students with disabilities need to move or have sensory input on a regular basis throughout the day. Before every academic lesson, they have the opportunity to move and get their 'wiggles out', which helps them be able to sit through a lesson.
With regular sensory inout, they are able to communicate better and can handle many more tasks and expectations asked of them throughout the day. The sensory mat will help those students who need to move by providing them something to walk and dance on. The fiberoptic lights will help my students who are overly active, to calm down and focus.
