My classroom reflects a diverse population in all aspects of life including social, academic, and socio-economic. Due to this diverse population, students may feel left out when emphasis is placed on students requiring more accommodations and individual attention. With alternative seating, students are the center of attention and others will look forward to their turn! I want all my students to feel special and know their individual needs are my top priority. By using alternative seating, it gives students a break from the ordinary and give their day a touch of extraordinary! Student of the Day? Have a seat! Feeling blue? Have a seat! It's your birthday? Have a seat! Feeling antsy? Have a seat!
