My students are learning new words sometimes may need assistance spelling a word, understanding what a word means or even finding synonyms or antonyms for words to help them along the way. I get asked several times a day how to spell something and I always tell my students to look it up in the dictionary and then tell me how to spell it. If they see it, they will remember it! They are also learning how to use a dictionary because a lot of students have never touched a dictionary before. So, adding to the oh so little collection of dictionaries I have will allow more students an opportunity to build their vocabulary.
