I am currently in the process of becoming a Google Certified Educator and learning about all the ways technology can be incorporated in the math classroom to provide modeling and visualizing capabilities, fluency practice, and both formative and summative assessments with instant feedback for students. We currently use technology to complete weekly fluency practice, practice concepts with programs that give the student instant feedback, and to complete STEM projects in 3D design and coding. Given that the implementation of technology in classrooms is dependent upon that which is available, having a classroom set of Chromebooks would greatly benefit each of my students as I could provide instruction to them daily via this avenue. Effectively implementing a technology-integrated approach should ultimately increase students' performance results on assessments and allow more content to be covered. In addition to supporting the core curriculum, as class set of Chromebooks will help our class complete more enrichment projects with a STEM focus.
