The materials selected will provide each student with a custom-made bracelet and/or necklace. After a classroom discussions, each student will select "just ONE word" to place on their stamped project. This word will be selected after careful review of the student's passions, goals, and focus. This project will embed many of the aspects of social-emotional learning that are embedded in our school day.
With assistance from teachers, each student will create a piece of jewelry to wear that will inspire and empower him/her daily. Students will stamp their ONE word on to their chosen metal to create a custom-made piece of jewelry. Students will also learn how to to tie the nylon on to the metal to create their wearable art.
It is my hope that each student will find a powerful, meaningful word that will empower him/her to have a positive outlook on life and all it has to offer.
