These books will continue to enhance our summer reading program called Camp Read S'more where we take our print-rich library that we strive to create and put it on WHEELS! Over the summer we travel around the community to let students continue to check out books. High interest books from our library are placed into crates and commute around town for check out. The students really enjoy watching our "bookmobile" drive up and the opportunity to look through bins of books that excite them and encourage them to continue reading over the summer.
With these new books, our students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level continuing their literacy skills over the summer months.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
