Our students are outgoing and willing to learn. Being at a Math and Science Magnet school, our schools are used to experimenting and trying new things. However, the staff has started to notice the students not bring healthy lunches to school. We also noticed the students were not being as active at lunchtime recess. The staff brought in a salad bar for the students to try new vegetables and it was a huge success. We became role models by walking at recess instead of just watching the students. As a Librarian, I wanted a way that I could help the students create healthier choices at home and exercise with their families.
