My students need leveled fiction books to continue to thrive and improve their reading. With a greater variety of books for me to share with my students they will have a better chance of staying focused and engaged. As I continue to push for students to be active readers, the extra books added to my classroom library will encourage students to read more. The books will allow for plenty of oral and independent reading activities to help close some of the reading gaps.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom because it will not only stimulate my students to read more books it will also increase their self-confidence and motivation for learning.
The more they read, the better they will become at it. The better a reader they become, the more successful they will be in all areas of the curriculum.
