The purpose of this project is to help my students have more options within the classroom to learn. My goal is to create several different flexible seating options for my first grade kiddos. The stools will be used around my guided reading table to give my students a more comfortable seating option. The classroom cushions will be used to give my students a different seating option when they are working in my writing station. My classroom environment is very important to me and it is something that I have been complimented on throughout my teaching career.
I am also asking for new magnetic letters and boards to help each one of my students when they are working with me at my guided reading table. Students will be using these boards to help them create words during our word study program, as well as practicing spelling different sight words. These magnetic letters and boards will give my students a more hands-on experience when it comes to their learning.
