My students have an old library that does not meet their needs. I would love to create a space that welcomes them in the library and allows them to feel that they can have fun and learn in the library. We are in a low-income area and my students do not have a lot. This furniture would change would bring excitement to the media center and the students would want to come in and read.
If the kids get excited about reading, their whole life can change. This couch will be a safe cozy place where a child sets to read their favorite book and feel like they don't have to worry about life outside the media center. This couch will allow students to relax and enjoy their time reading and sitting quietly enjoying learning.
