Coming back from a year of distance learning and limited opportunities with hands-on activities, this project is will re-engage middle school students in hands-on problem-based scientific investigation as they and their teacher use the brand new OpenSciEd curriculum for the first time.
The funding that is used for this project will not only help this yearʻs students but many years to come as this is the FIRST year that MHPCS will have a full year of middle school students in-person!
Students will investigate the metabolic reactions of a patient and learn about problems with the patientʻs digestive system through multiple experiments about calories, energy, oxygen, and cell respiration.
