The Sullivan Counseling department is offering a 6 week Grief Group for students who have lost a close friend or family member. We will drop arts and craft supplies off at our students homes before the group starts. We are asking for your help purchasing those supplies!
In this time of social isolation, it's more important than ever to create a shared space of healing after loss. Students in the group will have the opportunity to share memories of their loved ones, and we will provide weekly activities to help participants commemorate the relationship they had with the person they lost. Projects will include creating a memory box, decorating candle holders for a virtual luminary circle, decorating picture frames, and more. Students will keep these projects, both as a way to feel connected to their peers in the group, and as a way to honor their loved ones.
