There is no budget allotted to teachers for setting up a new classroom. Most teachers spend hundreds of dollars buying basic supplies on an inadequate salary. Some items I have purchased on my own already, but I am trying to remain within my budget.
I would love these items to make my room a little more organized. Having Chromebooks in my classroom will allow me to help kids who are chronically absent keep up. Students are absent from class for a multitude of reasons: illnesses, depression, missing the bus, taking care of siblings/parents, etc. I can get kids on Khan Academy or YouTube so they can learn any concepts they missed.
