My students will be so excited about new activities. These materials will help enhance the opportunities for hands-on activities for my very active students. Many of my students are reluctant to read or write and these activities will be a great alternative to paper/pencil classwork.
With these activities, my students will be able to choose from a variety of resources that will allow them to work on their academic IEP goals using their preferred learning style. Several of my students have basic reading goals to learn CVC words and sight words. Others have written expression goals to write simple sentences. The materials will provide them with opportunities to practice making words and sentences. With teacher guidance, students will share what words and sentences they have made.
Some of my students are learning about number bonds and need repetition to learn new concepts. My students get a lot of time on Chromebooks in their general education classroom and the materials are a great alternative to reteach and practice skills.
These activities will also encourage social skills such as cooperative learning and teamwork. These activities will also help with classroom management as students will be busy learning.
