Having enough magazines for each student to use allows them to read at their own pace, explore content that is relevant for them, and provide opportunities for students to connect to art.
Visual literacy is essential for understanding the world we live in. Through the magazine, students will have the ability to explore the connections between artwork and current events. This will allow for deeper conversations and for students to explore who they are and come to understand how they are crucial for shaping the future.
Besides my current students utilizing the magazines, they will also be included in our permanent collection of art history resources for all future students to use.
