Magna-tiles, Magnetic Blocks, and magnetic pieces will help my students directly create settings, buildings, and characters that they normally have difficulty expressing verbally and capturing in their writing assignments. When my students are allowed to express their thoughts through exploratory mediums and hands-on activities, they will be provided the opportunity to express their ideas that they once has difficulty explaining solely through words. My students also have unique sensory needs that prevent them from sitting down and writing their thoughts quickly using a pencil and paper. They need creative tools, devices, and manipulatives that will help them bring their imaginations out of their minds and breathe life into their ideas. Once they see what their ideas look like, then they can start to find the appropriate words to put on paper.
