I recently started working at a new school where students have minimal access to technology because of a tight school budget.
My students come from homes where they almost all do not have access to modern day technology.
I would like to purchase 4 Chromebooks so my students can incorporate technology into their daily learning. We will use project-based-learning, researching and working in groups to follow curriculum and learn about the world around us.
STEM (Science, Technology, Math and Science) is a large focus in education today, with new technologies emerging daily. But, how can I prepare my students for the careers of tomorrow, without exposing them to modern technology?
Nearly all of my students have no experience using a computer (just old smart phones). I want to give them an opportunity to learn using Google Apps For Education, e-books and a variety of apps.
New teachers at my school are working together to try to get 4 Chromebooks in each of our classrooms. We plan on collaborating together to develop content and supplemental digital curriculum to enhance our students' education through instructional technology. Please help support my students, my classroom and my colleagues achieve this awesome goal this Thanksgiving and #GivingTuesday.
Thank you :)
