This semester our school is trying something different to help encourage students to come to school on time. We are having "clubs" for students to participate in in the morning. My club will be a nature club, where students will learn about Earth and nature. Students already know a lot about nature because they are subsistence hunters, fishers and gathers. The students do not get out of the village much. They have not seen the world and DVDs will give them a visual of what Earth looks like outside of Chevak. I am hoping my nature club will get them excited about nature and science.
