The joy of teaching middle school is wonderful. The students are ready to start exploring their voices and their creativity is expanding to fill the gap of the next generation of musicians. Enabling them and inspiring them is my motivation every day. Providing opportunities with technology, instrument performance and vocal concerts is a challenge and joy. Year to year my classes change and keeping up with the changing needs of the students takes a village. The community support we receive makes a world of difference. It shows students their value and allows the community to participate in the students lives. Students in my classes will always have opportunities to sing and make music using technology. My requests will always align with that goal for my students sake. Excellence in all we do in the classroom and out of the classroom is my motto. I am thankful for students who rise to that standard .
