This squeeze machine will provide safe, deep pressure input access to our 390 students in our preK-1st elementary school. Multi-sensory learning, movement, and physical regulation have been scientifically proven to support student learning. We work to provide sensory input access in our classrooms as much as we can. Many children have stronger sensory needs (autism, ADHD, etc...) and require deeper input. I envision the child who would otherwise seek this input by crashing, tackling and pushing peers or materials, taking a squeeze break instead.
This machine can provide the input that our sensory-seeking students require in order to continue to engage in learning.
