Support Ms. B's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
This year I am excitedly preparing to welcome a new cohort of diverse learners with diverse needs. For many students it is their first time back in a classroom after one and a half years of home learning. A students ability to learn is largely impacted by the classroom environment and access to resources that aid in student learning. It is essential for students to enter into a classroom that is optimized for their needs.
These requested supplies will help to create a well-organized and efficient classroom that is adaptive to student needs. During the school day students explore concepts in math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and SEL. This means that the day is filled with many transitions, small group lessons, one on one lessons and independent work time. A disorganized classroom can lead to a loss of learning time and student distractions, which ultimately disrupt student learning.
The materials requested include both learning and organizational materials. A small group cart will allow all student reading materials to be in one place and it will travel efficiently from group to group. Within the cart items such as the silly eyes finger ring will help students build engagement in reading. Labeling tools allow students to build independence. For example, students can select books based on genre and personal interest when book shopping independently. In addition to organizational materials students would benefit from quality learning materials such as the white board math manipulatives, which increase student understanding during lessons and aid in efficiency.
