For the past 6 years, I have been teaching children with Autism. It is essential that these students start learning how to communicate, sit, and access academic material in a way that works best for them as soon as possible.
By donating to my project, students will be given a chance to learn how to navigate an IPAD using a communication app that will allow them to talk about their interests, express their wants and needs and socialize with family and friends. This will provide these children with a chance to gain independence in their everyday life and have the skills they need to succeed in school.
Also, by donating to my project, my students will have access to hands-on materials that will provide them with differentiated approaches to access the general curriculum.
