My students attend an Urban Special Education District 75 school in Queens serving 85% economically disadvantaged students, 29% ELL learners, 6% experiencing housing insecurity. My curious, thoughtful, and inventive students require unique ways of accessing information and expressing themselves through presentations, digital representations and models, conducting research, accessing digital literacy programs, and using assistive like text-to-speech functionality, changing text size, and page contrast, etc.
There really is no limit to their imaginations, but they need the tools to access and engage the world around them and apply their own skills!
