My school is a Title I school were the median income is $18,000/year. Families are struggling to put food on the table and are not able to provide some of the basic school necessities. Unfortunately, that means most of my students do not have the resources to bring paper or pencils into my class. By providing whiteboards and markers for them to use they are able to work out their math problems daily.
This project will help them focus on work and not feel that they are lacking. Instead of trying to do complicated math problems in their head, they will now be able to show their work daily.
