These balance beams and stability pads will give our students more options to work on their balance during gross motor times in our sensory motor rooms, giving them greater ability to navigate obstacles within their classrooms and out on the playground. Often our students have limited exposure to uneven surfaces, like grass and dirt to play on, and have difficulty accommodating to surface changes when moving about their environment. Additionally, many of our students with disabilities have vision differences which make it difficult for them to manage changes in surface height or depth.
