Scholastic esports creates a motivation opportunity for students who are usually uninvolved in school extracurriculars and unmotivated to do well in school.
The social and emotional support that the esports community creates for my students is one of the biggest benefits students receive from the program! Funds from this program will provide additional equipment, space, and areas for students to interact and play. By funding my project you help create more opportunities and more space for me to expand the program and impact more students.
I will use the funds to purchase equipment that will allow 6-8 more students to participate in Smash Bros as an esport. This is a regular addition in collegiate esports as well and so this program will provide a direct connection for many of my students to be able to play and receive scholarship money from colleges.
