In order to make my classroom complete, I want to establish a "Calm Down Corner" where my students can go to if they need a moment to de-escalate at any point during the day. This will act as a "safe spot" in my room that my student will feel comfort in going to when needed. My students will feel more at ease during hard times throughout the year with flexible seating options, sch as this wonderful chair! While in the "Calm Down Corner", my students will have a variety of tactile items to soothe their needs to help relax in the moment.
