These materials will definitely help students be more attentive, practice good social skills, and manage their behaviors. Each of my students have different behavior, social, speech, and academic goals. We do group activities as well as a lot of one-to-one activities and trials with teachers or staff. That is where the whiteboard easel will come in. It will be used for one-to-one or small group instruction. The supplies will be used to create individualized materials suited to their needs such as pictures, academic material. It will also be used to generalize what they have learned in class to the community. The materials will be used to create pictures and arts and crafts. To help teach students basic sight words as well as how to put things away, the organizer will be have labels such as "pencils," "markers," and "paper." Students will be taught to return and organize materials which are very important skills. The beanless bag chair and mat will help the students in their calming strategies and create a great calm corner, too. Some of the toys will be used as reinforcers as well. Our school does a lot of transitions from classroom to classroom, playground, MPR, and specials. In order for them to generalize skills learned in the classroom, their reinforcers, PECS book, and other individual materials will be carried throughout the school campus. The utility cart will be used in this manner. Students will take turns pushing the cart and be responsible for the materials inside the cart.
