Students of all ages love picture books! The students in my class come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. I would like to use engaging picture books to teach social and emotional skills that will help my students learn the skills to succeed in school and cooperatively work together.
The books I have chosen will help teach that each of them are unique and special, and that their skills and talents make our class better as we work together and strengthen each other. The books also demonstrate, in relatable and humorous ways, how to appropriately interact in various social situations.
