The kindle fire will be used in the classroom in the following way. It will serve as a tool for language acquisition. The students can use apps such as ABC mouse, Kids a-z, etc. that contribute not only to the acquisition of language for ELL but in the development of the love of reading. It will serve as a tool for academic development. The students can use their tablets to research for their projects and to further develop their skills in academic areas such as math, science, social studies, etc. It will serve as an intervention tool and collect data from the students' progress. Although one to one intervention is always done with the students, the tablets will continue and reinforce the intervention through specific apps. Furthermore, the data of each student will be available to further help the student.
