Flexible seating is an incredible resources for our every wiggly 5th graders. Children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.
It is important after these few years of uncertainty to give these kiddos what they need for the best possible learning outcomes and make up for all of the missing learning and social experiences.
